Track Rules

1. Introduction-- River Valley R/C Raceway is under the authority of three track officials: Mick Wofford, Mark Sweezey, and Michael Harrington. These three individuals have been entrusted by the property owner of Grand Slam to operate and maintain River Valley R/C Raceway. Any decisions regarding the track must be approved by the track officials.

2. Practicing--There is NO CHARGE for practicing on the racetrack, but watering, lighting, or configuration changes of the track must be approved by a track official. If you are practicing on a race night, you must use a frequency clip each time you run on the track. The only exception is if you are on the Spektrum system.

3. Racing begins on Saturday at Noon, with signups closing at 11:45am until it gets hot then racing begins at 7:00pm, with signup closing at 6:45pm. Watch the forum for notice of when the time will change. Entry fee is $13.00 for first class, $15.00 with use of club transponder, and $10.00 for second class, $12.00 with use of club transponder. Races will run every week, unless posted. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please call Mick Wofford at (479)461-5081 if you are running behind and cannot sign up in time. He will sign you in before the deadline. You will need to bring your own pit table, chairs, lighting, and extension cords to the track. The electrical outlets under the driver stand is strictly for the lap counting system only. All racers must use the outlets surrounding the white storage building or under the pavilion. There is to be NO running on the concrete oval except between rounds and you must have a frequency clip to do so.

4. Racing Format--Racing consists of 3 heats and a main. All heats and mains will be 6 minutes for electric and gas cars/trucks. There will be bump ups in classes with multiple mains. The number of bump ups will be determined by the number of entries in that class. Lap counting will be done with an AMB rc timming system. We can now accept personal transponders. We will also be using an AutoCount system when the AMB system is not available to us, so we are asking all racers to bring a set of numbers to velcro or stick on their cars to be counted.

5. Corner Marshaling--Please be on the track, ready to corner marshal after you have finished your race and returned the transponder to the counting table. Please do not wait to be called by the announcer. It is your responsibility to corner the race after yours, unless you have previously made arrangements with a track official.

6. Payouts--Payouts will be determined by the number of entries. 15 or less entries have no payouts. 16 or more entries will have payouts based on the number of total entries. Cash will be awarded to the top three A-main finishers only.

7. Conduct-- NO profanity or obsene conduct on the track premises. This is a family-oriented facility and these actions WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. These actions could result in a temporary or permanent ban from the property.

8. Keep it clean--Please pick up after yourself while on the premises. There are trash cans all around the track. Please use them, so that we can continue to use this facility.

9. Rainouts--If two full rounds of racing have been completed before weather intervenes, payouts and finishing order will be determined by the fastest qualifying time in each class. If we cannot complete two full rounds, each racer will be issued a credit for the next race they can attend.

10. HAVE FUN!!!--River Valley R/C Raceway encourages good sportsmanship and promoting our sport in a positive direction. This will bring about a successful racing program and having fun is what this hobby is all about.
